About Me

Thank you for visiting my website. I am Sunny Peter, a consultant by profession, but a writer by passion.

After having spent over a decade and a half working within the thick confines of a rigid corporate environment, I took a leap of faith in 2013 believing that the proverbial net would appear. I quit my cozy full-time job to pursue writing as a career. Writing has always been my first love, and the years of experience as a researcher and consultant have helped me to further my intellect.

As a consultant, I worked with several global companies and institutions helping them comprehend India, evaluate it as business and investment destination and further to facilitate their India-entry strategies. I continue to do so today, through GlobeOne Consulting, a firm that I was partly instrumental in setting up. At GlobeOne Consulting, our promise is to “make business in India, easy.”

Back to my passion for writing.

As a writer, my interest is in global affairs and I write on a wide variety of related topics for both print and online publications, and journals around the world. My work includes all forms – news reports, analysis, essays, and commentaries. I dabble with poetry once in a while as well.

I have been published in Global Asia, The Diplomat, Lapido Media, Asharq Al-Awsat, SA Global Affairs and several other publications and blogs. I have also worked as a stringer and freelance writer for several online publications including the International Business Times. Apart from these I have independently handled several business research assignments and undertaken non-fiction book projects as a ghost writer.

At present, I am keenly involved in studying the paradigm shifts occurring in global politics, and evaluating the role and impact of religion in shaping our world today.

Ideologically speaking, I am a liberal. I stand for political liberty, economic freedom and social rights and justice. However, there are occasions when I find myself in a kind of intellectual flux – unable to decipher and differentiate right from the wrong, or black from the white. I have come to believe now that it is because much of what happens in this world lies in between – the realm of grey.

To conclude, I hold a Master’s degree in Politics and International Relations from the School of International Relations, Mahatma Gandhi University. I am currently based in Mumbai, but I have lived in several cities (and villages) across the length and breadth of India. It is something which enables me to understand my nation, and its people, from a more a wider preservative.
